An original image-production project for SAFFRON, developed through image development and art direction.

The brief

Produce an original fashion image for SAFFRON that makes a single silhouette memorable. Develop a fitted black gown, a spare studio setting and a deliberate pose, using light and negative space to give the image its presence.

The creative response

The gown is reduced to a clean scoop neckline and a continuous fitted column. An asymmetric reach and a curved, shifting stance give the silhouette its energy, while a rectangular plinth anchors the figure. Cool blue light separates the black fabric from the seamless studio background. The image was developed through image development and iterative art direction, refining the garment, lighting and gesture into a distinct SAFFRON visual.
